Summer and all Its Fun...and there is more to come.

The month of July and August have flown by...but then again I think time does fly and the summer is almost over:( So I have been out of town for practically the whole month of July! Mainly every weekend. It all started with the 4th of July celebration. Jory was going to Vegas to visit a friend and because i needed to go out there anyway we decided to ride together along with Jennie D! It was a great trip we went and watch fire works in boulder city with Jory friends and then the next night jenny and i did some people watching on the strip(that blog post will come soon!) On Sunday they dropped me off at my parents house and headed back to AZ and i packed up and took my brothers car to St George. I decided since i was there i may as well work that week!

Chad and Ulma moved down to St. George the week before so i hung out with them the majority of the week which was really fun. That weekend all my friends where going to lake Powell and i really wanted to go with them, so i asked my brother Randy if he wanted to so we could take his car (i know sneaky but i figured he would love it) We got there late Friday night and pretty much did not sleep and got up so early to go wake boarding it was so fun there was about 15 of us there and we all chilled and had a good time. Randy and I took off on Saturday night to make it back in time for Tosha's baby blessing which was scheduled for Sunday and we knew we could not miss it! After Sunday with hanging out with the family i flew home in the morning with my Dad dropping me off at the airport.

That next weekend was my B-day weekend and we had a big ward party which Jory and I where in charge of. Because the stake got split our bishopric got released the night of the BBQ he pulls me aside and ask if i can meet with him the next day. I am thinking no big deal must just want to see how i am doing before his last day as bishop....oh boy was i wrong i called to serve in the new relief society predidency! fun fun.

Hi Family!   So mom, you thought that last week was going to be my last email, but surprise you get ONE more! President Beesley decided to let all the missionaries email on Tuesday because of the holiday. It is interesting how different mission president's are and the things they do that are not the same at all.  We have had the pleasure of getting to know him and his wife this last week and I must say the one thing I have heard the most is "I cannot believe how much different she is from Sister Dance!" I just have to chuckle as of course they are going to be different and I am sure they will be amazing in their own way. He is a pretty achieved person from his previous life, he was a test fighter pilot so he has shown us a couple of video's of him flying F-16's and some other fighter jets. Being in the right place at the right time.....listen to the spirit!!!

Dear Friends and Family,   What a wonderful week! There could not be any better way to end a week then to witness two people get baptized.  The baptism were so wonderful and to feel the spirit of both of them was great. I just love seeing both of their faces as they came out of the water and to see the light and joy in their eyes! We also had the opportunity to start teaching two new people this week. One of them is a special circumstance given from out ward. His name is Justin Tabbilos and the ward found out that he did not have a baptismal record at all even though we all thought he had been baptized. Well come to find out he was baptized in the Philippians and they never recorded it with the church and they could not track down the witnesses for the baptism either. It was pretty sad as I am sure he does not want to go through the process again. Something you said stuck with me.....

Hi Friends and Family,   This past week has been such a good week! It feels like such a bitter sweet to think that I have only two weeks left. I was saying a prayer yesterday and told my heavenly father that I would stay here another year if he would just let me. The goodness of sharing the gospel and seeing the light in people's eyes and just working each and everyday is ever so rewarding even with the trials that come right along with it. I love this work and I could not be more than thankful to the opportunities I have had to be here and to know the people of Alaska.   This week we had an experience of teaching a new person who's name is Dale, this experience was pretty neat in the way that we met. The Sunday before last we were contacting people on the ward list that we did not know to bring them back to church and were going to contact a lady named Cindy.
