Trip To Eager

So i am trying to keep up with the different events that have been going on! I decided i would just back date my blog as i cannot keep up with it when it happens. So Amanda has been pestering me to come up and visit them in eager again as i never get to see them. I decided i would just make the time to go as i have been so busy!

So i decided to take off after work on Friday, i asked Scott to come with me as i did not want to go up there alone. Before we left we stopped at Jory's house as it was his dads b-day party, they fed us some yummy chili. After we made the four hour drive up to eager, which was not to bad. Amanda and Wes live in a 3 bedroom house so we each had a room to sleep in which was nice, i really like their house. Only downfall is they have a dog and two cats and i am not a big fan of animals but i managed for sure.

So when Wes's dad found out i was coming up there he told Amanda that we where going to brand cows when i came. I have never branded cows in my entire life so i knew i was in for something! We got up and ate at the diner then drove out to the ranch to get started. Suprisingly i had a really good time, we hearded the cows up. Most where baby cows as they are just branding the ones that have not been. So branding it pretty simple you hold the cow down and press the branding iron to them, the hard part is getting the cow down. There are some funny pictures of us trying to get them down. We even had a gril crew where the girls did the whole thing it was alot of fun!

After the branding was all done we took some naps then went to the eager football game which brought back some major memories of Moapa Valley High School football with the small town gig. The next morning we went to sacrement then headed home, on the way home i got pulled over! Man that was no fun, it made me so mad! But we had a good time and i am glad we went.

Does it really have to end?

Hi Family!   So mom, you thought that last week was going to be my last email, but surprise you get ONE more! President Beesley decided to let all the missionaries email on Tuesday because of the holiday. It is interesting how different mission president's are and the things they do that are not the same at all.  We have had the pleasure of getting to know him and his wife this last week and I must say the one thing I have heard the most is "I cannot believe how much different she is from Sister Dance!" I just have to chuckle as of course they are going to be different and I am sure they will be amazing in their own way. He is a pretty achieved person from his previous life, he was a test fighter pilot so he has shown us a couple of video's of him flying F-16's and some other fighter jets. Being in the right place at the right time.....listen to the spirit!!!

Dear Friends and Family,   What a wonderful week! There could not be any better way to end a week then to witness two people get baptized.  The baptism were so wonderful and to feel the spirit of both of them was great. I just love seeing both of their faces as they came out of the water and to see the light and joy in their eyes! We also had the opportunity to start teaching two new people this week. One of them is a special circumstance given from out ward. His name is Justin Tabbilos and the ward found out that he did not have a baptismal record at all even though we all thought he had been baptized. Well come to find out he was baptized in the Philippians and they never recorded it with the church and they could not track down the witnesses for the baptism either. It was pretty sad as I am sure he does not want to go through the process again. Something you said stuck with me.....

Hi Friends and Family,   This past week has been such a good week! It feels like such a bitter sweet to think that I have only two weeks left. I was saying a prayer yesterday and told my heavenly father that I would stay here another year if he would just let me. The goodness of sharing the gospel and seeing the light in people's eyes and just working each and everyday is ever so rewarding even with the trials that come right along with it. I love this work and I could not be more than thankful to the opportunities I have had to be here and to know the people of Alaska.   This week we had an experience of teaching a new person who's name is Dale, this experience was pretty neat in the way that we met. The Sunday before last we were contacting people on the ward list that we did not know to bring them back to church and were going to contact a lady named Cindy.
