Holiday Fun

So catch up with my post from the holidays. After getting back from christmas with the family the very next week was new years. That week i just did not want to work at all, on Tuesday Scott asked if wanted to go to Tucson with him and some buddies from work. I was all about it as i did not want to work! We left that morning, i rode with ryan scotts brother,zach and scott. The agenda that day was to visit the missal silo and the air museum. We first went to the silo which was pretty cool but the tour was short, after we went and ate at this place that serves the best mexican hot dogs i have ever had! Then we took off to the airplane place, that was my favorite seeing all the different kind of airplanes.

After we go done with the museum we ended up going back to the mexican place and ate there again! Yes twice in one day it was that good! So i was trying to hurry back as it was Jennie D b-day that night. Scott brother was to funny as he was taking his time, it was funny. When we got back in the car we all had to play chubby bunny. which these HUGE marshmallows we bought. Ya i could hardly fit one in my mouth.Scott fit two in his, do not ask me how!

The day after the trip to tuscon was new years eve, i worked that day then that night Scott and Jorin came over to go to the stake party for new years. This year they had it at Race Car place, there was so many people there so it was not to much fun. We danced a bit and chatted, then after we decided to ride the light rail, not sure that was such a good idea there where so many people on there as it was free and they where crazy. New Year day my parents came down to visit me for the weekend, I always give them a hard time about not coming down to visit me but i do not blame them as most the time i go there and visit. I was happy they came though, they decided to stay in a hotel and make a vacation out of it. On new years we went to lunch with scott and his parents then after we went and saw 7 pounds its a pretty good movie. The next day we decided to go to tombstone, it was a long drive and overall i do not think my parents where to impressed but we had fun nonetheless. As you can see they are not photo people as i do not have them in any pics...lol




The rest the weekend was pretty chill my mom and I hung out while my Dad went golfing. I am sure that was the highlight of the trip for him as he loves to golf. They took off sunday morning to drive home. I am glad they came I had a great time!!

Hi Family!   So mom, you thought that last week was going to be my last email, but surprise you get ONE more! President Beesley decided to let all the missionaries email on Tuesday because of the holiday. It is interesting how different mission president's are and the things they do that are not the same at all.  We have had the pleasure of getting to know him and his wife this last week and I must say the one thing I have heard the most is "I cannot believe how much different she is from Sister Dance!" I just have to chuckle as of course they are going to be different and I am sure they will be amazing in their own way. He is a pretty achieved person from his previous life, he was a test fighter pilot so he has shown us a couple of video's of him flying F-16's and some other fighter jets. Being in the right place at the right time.....listen to the spirit!!!

Dear Friends and Family,   What a wonderful week! There could not be any better way to end a week then to witness two people get baptized.  The baptism were so wonderful and to feel the spirit of both of them was great. I just love seeing both of their faces as they came out of the water and to see the light and joy in their eyes! We also had the opportunity to start teaching two new people this week. One of them is a special circumstance given from out ward. His name is Justin Tabbilos and the ward found out that he did not have a baptismal record at all even though we all thought he had been baptized. Well come to find out he was baptized in the Philippians and they never recorded it with the church and they could not track down the witnesses for the baptism either. It was pretty sad as I am sure he does not want to go through the process again. Something you said stuck with me.....

Hi Friends and Family,   This past week has been such a good week! It feels like such a bitter sweet to think that I have only two weeks left. I was saying a prayer yesterday and told my heavenly father that I would stay here another year if he would just let me. The goodness of sharing the gospel and seeing the light in people's eyes and just working each and everyday is ever so rewarding even with the trials that come right along with it. I love this work and I could not be more than thankful to the opportunities I have had to be here and to know the people of Alaska.   This week we had an experience of teaching a new person who's name is Dale, this experience was pretty neat in the way that we met. The Sunday before last we were contacting people on the ward list that we did not know to bring them back to church and were going to contact a lady named Cindy.
