Mormon.org

Hi Family and Friends,

Another week has come and gone, this week I am writing you on Wednesday because we were blessed to go to the temple. It was the first time I have been able to go on my mission and I was so thankful to have the chance to go. The past week and a half has been really busy with work and with sickness, on Sunday we found that half of our ward was sick with this bug that keeps you down for weeks. Well unfortunately they passed it around and I ended up with it part way through the week as well as our investigator Erika. Guess it works out for us all to get sick at the same time as we could not teach and they could not be taught! Anyhow we were both able to get passed it and are feeling much better now.

We also were able to teach Willie last week and to have an amazing experience in extending the invitation to be baptized. During the lesson we were talking about Christ and the role he plays and the example he set for us. With this Willie bore his testimony of the book of Mormon and how he came to know through prayer that the book of Mormon was true. I could feel the spirit so strong as he bore a simple testimony of what he knew to be true. Right then I knew we needed to extend the invitation to be baptized, as we were reading about baptized I stopped and explained baptism to Willie and asked if he would be baptized. He accepted and was very eager to be baptized as it is something he knew he needed to do. I am excited for him to make these changes in his life. I just hope that everything will work out with him as Friday we found out he moved from the place he was staying so who knows were he went. All will work out in due time.

On Wednesday of last week we had zone conference and president Dance introduced to us the new Mormon.org website. We are fortunate enough to be able to spend an hour a week on the website. I absolutely love the site and what they have done with it, I want to ask each of you if you would make a profile on the site of your personal testimony of the church and post it. It is pretty strait forward of how to make a profile and you just need your account information to do it. Please let me know if you do as we use this tool for our investigators to show them testimonies and stories of those in the church. And showing them members of our family and friends is something that we personally can relate to with our investigators to help them on their personal journey. Dad you experienced this first hand with helping Joe and I would like others to help by sharing what you know to be true. So I challenge each of you to post your profile online and let me know when you have as it can bless the lives of others.

Well I hope all is going well for everyone, I am so thankful to be here and to be able to serve the lord. I look forward to each day and pray that each of you look for opportunities in your life to reach out to those around you.

Love,

Sister Booth
