Sister Booth is leaving!

Wow! Sister Booth has been out for almost six months, and I'm finally getting her blog up and going! It's becoming more like a birthday present (her birthday is July 20th) instead! I'm hoping to get caught up quickly, so everyone can be up-to-date on the happenings of Sister Booth in Alaska.

I'm going to start about where she left off. On January 24th, 2010, Sister Booth became a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before leaving, she was able to spend time with her family and friends. We enjoyed some very good food (thanks Jenny and the host of friends and family who helped with the meal) and good times. A good time was had by all and I know Sister Booth appreciated everyone's effort to be there and especially their effort to help. Thanks everyone!

As Sister Booth's older sister, I unfortunately don't know everyone who came to see Sister Booth. Therefore, I'm not even going to try to name people, and instead just add a few collages of those who made it. Here's the first group of pictures of good friends and ward members (if you click on the collage, it will get bigger so you can see everything better):

A few more pictures of friends. We have some "fun" ones here!

Watch out! It doesn't matter if you're looking, eating or what have you,
you're still going to get your picture taken!

Here are some more friends. (These were the only pictures taken
vertically instead of horizontally):

Here are a few group shots of a lot of good friends:

These next sets of pictures are going to be a little easier for me to recognize. They are Sister Booth's family, and I happen to know them rather well! Here's the first collage of Sister Booth with her niece, nephews, sister (the other one), and brother-in-law:

Here's one last picture of Sister Booth with her favorite
(and only) niece (again, the only vertical picture):

I don't know about you, but our family had a great time and we especially enjoyed the food! Thanks again to all of those who helped out with food preparation, clean-up, packing, and more packing! Sister Booth had a lot of help and support! Keep it up as she continues to work hard in Alaska!

Those are great pictures, We are the Lyman's here in AK. It's been the most awesome experience for us to get to know Sister Booth. We're grateful for the chance that we've had to get to know her. I had the privilege to take Sister Booths place as a missionary when she was sick. Grown up in the church and a mother of 5, this was a great opportunity for me. I'm grateful for Sister booth and her willingness to serve. I'm glad Sister Booth gave me her blog address, so I could keep up, even after she gets home. :) We love her as much as her family and friends do.
She loves you guys up there too! She says she's very well taken care of. Thanks, from her family!
